Trish MS Research Butterfly

At Art of Ice Sculptures we are proud supporters of The Trish Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis by raising funds to support Australian medical science research projects.

As a major fund-raiser, each year the foundation holds a charity ball.

In 2007, Art of Ice Sculptures was delighted to decorate the entrance to the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton in Sydney with two beautiful Blue Ice Butterflies (the Trish MS Research Foundation logo) on columns. Pictured left with Carol and Roy Langsford, the organisation's founders.

In 2008 we were pleased to decorate the entrance to the Parkside Ballroom at the Sydney Convention Centre with two blue butterflies on columns. We also contributed Crystal Orb Gold Butterfly table centrepieces.

In 2009 the Foundation returned to the Hilton once again for the Hearts and Minds ball, which we were also pleased to decorate with butterflies on ice pillars outside the entrance to the room.

We were thrilled to attend the 2010 Sporting a Dream Ball where we were pleased to decorate the entrance to the room at the Hilton with our large butterflies on columns.

Black and White Foundation

Black and White logo

The Black and White Committee is closely involved in providing access to the skills and services of Vision Australia (formerly the Royal Blind Society). We contributed the logo sculpture, pictured left, to decorate the Black and White Ball 2010.

Unicef Kick for Kids

Unicef Kick for Kids

Each year Unicef holds a corporate soccer match gala day to raise funds to protect orphans and vulnerable children in Indonesia.

The event is held each October which when the weather is warming up in Sydney. To help keep the teams hydrated on the day as they are playing their soccer matches, we donate a number of ice cylinders for the drinks bottles so they can stay icy cold.

Butterfly Foundation

Butterfly Foundation

The Butterfly Foundation is an organisation dedicated to changing the culture, policy and practise in the prevention and treatment of eating disorders. Their vision is to live in a world that celebrates health, well-being and diversity.

The inaugural The Butterfly Foundation Chrysalis Ball - Sydney was held on 13th May 2010. It seemed pretty obvious to us that since their logo is a blue butterfly, our beautiful blue ice butterfly would make a perfect donation to help decorate the ball.

Guests of all ages enjoyed a night of glamour at Doltone House in Pyrmont, while being entertained by surprise act The Justice Crew, The John Field Band, Ben Fordham and Glenn Wheeler.

1200kms for kids

1200kms for kids luge

The 1200kms for Kids Charity Bike Ride was conceived back in 2005 by Gary Richardson and Trevelyan Bale. The two friends were looking for a way to give back to the hospitals that had effortlessly helped their sick children.

Over a beer or two, the idea was born to form a group and cycle 1,200 kilometres in 5 days to raise as much money as possible for the Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick and the Royal Children's Hospital Brisbane.

We contributed a special luge for the 2010 fundraiser ball at which guests were able to experience a freshly luged cocktail.
